Japanese Loose Flowered Hornbeam Bonsai Tree (carpinus laxiflora)

Native to Japan and China, this small hardwood Carpinus Laxiflora is a most handsome tree with drooping branches, catkins and drooping clusters of hop-like fruits. Has quite striking bark patterns and is one of our personal favorites. Almost never offered due to the scarcity of true to type seeds. Has a smooth grey-beige trunk and small glossy leaves. It's autumn color is yellow-green.
